Carol Plumb, Artist
Carol brings a fresh perspective and quiet intensity to each of her stunning paintings by combining the real and the abstract. Studying the way light plays upon our natural world enables her to capture the panoramic beauty of local land, sea and sky vistas. Her work evokes both an emotional response and a quiet reflection.
Carol paints in oil on linen canvas. She graduated from The Minneapolis College of Art and Design with a BFA in 1979. Later, in 2000, Carol earned a teaching certification, at Middlebury College, Vermont. This has enabled her to teach locally, at Brownsville Museum of Fine Art, South Padre Island Art Space and privately at Seaside Art Studio on South Padre Island.
Carol has shown her work extensively in South Texas: K Space Contemporary Lotteria Mural, Brownsville Museum of Fine Art, Beyond Gallery, South Padre Island Art Space, South Padre Island Kingfisher Gallery, Yummies Restaurant, Historic Museum of Brownsville, and many more.
